Big Bear. Big Bear with QALO and Camera!
We’ve been up to the quaint mountain town on a lake a few times, and have been told there are some pretty exciting trails out there. Last weekend, we were at the Kodiak 100mi course preview for some run (and walk) and fun. It was a great weekend of meeting new people, discovering trails, and losing track of time.
Crank the country music, forget about your smartphone, and take in a deep breath of that clean mountain air!!
There’s just something about boulders and tall evergreens that makes you forget the emails waiting for you in your inbox.. The slower pace of life last weekend was an awesome change. Toby came with us, and we got to spend time together in a new-ish place catching up with old and new friends.
On this trip, we also wanted to capture our love of the outdoors in photos — and they turned out so very… us!
Speaking of being “us,” did you really think we we could pull this off without being total goobs? Or without losing my sunglasses? Check and check.
I think I finally get what it means to be in the moment – when everyday, normal things and scenery become remarkable…. this was the type of weekend we could use more of!
Whether you’re doing a household chore, drinking a cup of coffee, or walking around your neighborhood… When was the last time you appreciated something un-spectacular?
This post brought to you by QALO. Fingers swollen? Lift heavy things? QALO (Kay-Loh) is a silicone wedding ring for an active lifestyle. To us, it’s a wearable reminder that we each have a lifelong runner partner at our side!
